We have finally reached the final week for our seniors in the class! Monday and Tuesday we will be wrapping up our statistical reports by completing a peer review. We will then be spending Wednesday and Thursday presenting our projects to the class. Friday is our trip to the Farmer in the Dell!! Permission slips need to be turned in by Wednesday. Have a great week!
This week we will be spending a majority of our time collecting, organizing, and analyzing our data from our surveys. We will then be spending time writing our statistical reports for presentations which will begin next week. You will be turning everything in on Google Classroom and I will update you as the week goes on about daily goals. I hope everyone has a great week!
This week we will be working on creating your Statistics Project. Your focus this week will be to finalize your questions and create your surveys. We will need to be sure that you will get the data you want based on your questions. We will then take some time to analyze our data and begin to take a look at creating a statistical report. Have a great week!
This week we will be wrapping up our probability unit by completing your Chapter 7 assessment projects. We will be taking a look at one section in Chapter 8 in regards to combinations. Our week will end with a quiz over this section as well as launching our big statistics project we will be working on for the better part of next week. You will get an opportunity to develop a research plan, collect and analyze data, and write a perfect statistical report. I hope everyone has a great week!
Our week will begin with working with probability distributions and practice involving various dependent and independent events. We will then be taking a look at simulations which will include random number generation. Our week will conclude with launching your chapter 7 assessment project. Have a great week!
We can finally get back into our studies of probability this week! First of all we are going to review and work on a small task to review dependent events and permutations. We will continue our week with looking at independent events as well as probability distributions. Remember, there is an 11 a.m. release on Friday. Have a great week!
On Monday, we will spend some time wrapping up and correcting the 7-3 problems you worked on Friday. We will also finish the 7-4 notes. On Tuesday and Wednesday, many of you will be busy with taking your SAT and ACT Work Keys. On Thursday and Friday, we are going to take a brain break and play a few games to hone in on our probability skills we have been studying. I hope everyone has a great week!
We will begin our week with an assessment over sections 7.1 and 7.2 that we investigated prior to spring break. On Tuesday, all of the juniors will be taking a practice SAT and the seniors in our class will be working in another room on missing work. The rest of the week we will be investigating multiplication counting principles and permutations. I hope everyone had a great spring break. Welcome back!
This week we will begin our investigation of Statistics in Chapter 7. We will be focusing mostly on probability and statistical representations of real life applications. We will be looking at relative frequencies, probability, and the addition counting principal this week. Our week will conclude with practice problems as well as an assessment over these topics. I hope everyone has a great week!
