Thank you all so much for your awesome work on NWEA last week! Your hard work this year is showing through and I am so proud of all of you. This week we will be diving back in the world of Trigonometry. Our week will begin with a review of the trig functions and their ratios. We will then be taking a quiz over this material. The week will end with taking a look at cofunctions as well as inverse functions. Wednesday is an Early Release. I hope everyone has a great week!
We will be starting our week with an assessment over probability. We will then launch our next unit of Right Triangle Trigonometry. Mr. Nadeau will even be performing in a live concert during class this week! We will end our week with our final NWEA test of the year. Remember, the kickball tournament is Wednesday. I hope everyone has a great week!
This week we will begin examining two way tables and compound events. We will also spend some time reviewing combinations and permutations. We will complete some practice problems and conclude our week with an application of our probability knowledge with the game of Yahtzee. Have a great week!
This week we will be reviewing theoretical and experimental probability as well as permutations and combinations. We will also review the homework associated with these topics you started reviewing last week. We will be completing an activity which will be a midway assessment for this unit. You will need your Chromebooks for the activity. I hope everyone has a great week. Friday is an early release due to Elementary Carnival.
We are going to have a pretty busy week in Geometry with a couple of projects to help us wrap up Chapter 7. Monday we will be headed outside to measure the height of a couple of objects, including the flagpole. Tuesday and Wednesday our focus will be on constructing a pinhole camera. Our week will conclude with launching our next unit, Probability. Wednesday is an Early Release this week.
Hello everyone! This week we will begin with taking a look at triangle similarity using properties that we also used to prove two triangles are congruent. We will also be looking at some proportional situations and will end our week with setting up a model we can use to find proportional measurements. Please make sure you bring an empty Pringles can to class this week for our experiment next week. Have a great week and remember Friday is an 11 a.m. release.
This week we will be starting chapter 7, Similarity. Monday we will be doing an investigation of circles to see whether circles can be similar or not. Tuesday you will be taking your PSAT 10 test. On Wednesday, I will be administering the ACT Work Keys to the junior class, Mr. Hessbrook will be your sub and you will be watching an episode of Numb3rs. Our week will conclude with investigating similarity and transformations. I hope everyone has a great week!
This week we will be wrapping up Chapter 6 with an investigation of the properties of squares, rhombi, trapezoids, and kites. We will continue our flip book notes and end with an assessment you will work on that will cover all of the material and notes taken on Chapter 6. We will correct the assessment and play a Kahoot! to wrap up our week. I hope everyone had a great spring break. Welcome back!
This week we will begin with wrapping up our introduction to Chapter 6. The rest of the notes for Chapter 6 will be very non-traditional and we will be constructing a flip book reference guide for you to use throughout our investigation into polygons. We will also be investigating certain properties of rectangles and working on practice problems for the first two sections of the chapter. I hope everyone has a great week!
